Aden Catalani is Trade Waters’ director of field operations and lead artist. He connects the creative vision to the physical work, leading crews, coordinating production, and making sure every project is carried through with skill and intention.
His background is rooted in graffiti, mural painting, public art, teaching, and collaboration. Aden understands how artwork changes when it moves from a sketch into a real environment—and how scale, surface, access, people, and place must work together for the finished piece to feel alive.
Aden also founded Pacific Mural Exchange, an independent cultural exchange built around mural practice, shared knowledge, and direct collaboration between artists and communities. Trade Waters has a strategic relationship with the Exchange, expanding the artistic network, cultural perspective, and collaborative possibilities available to selected projects.
